My girlfriend got me this as a gift to use on walks or at the gym. It doesn’t skip even when moving and the quality and battery life make it well worth the money! Would definitely recommend 🙂

OK, so CD’s are old hat. Well, so am I and no, I don’t intend to buy the White Album again. I’m going to say straight away that, and I might be weird, I love the way this product feels. It’s solid and all the controls and buttons seem to invite interaction. I can’t get used to the lid release, but that is not specific to just this device, other manufacturers do the same thing.
CD of course, gives you a quality digital source, so it’s the gubbins between the disc and you that need to do their best. Here again, I’m impressed. I particularly like the difference the equaliser makes, something I don’t often say. I’ve listened through Sennheiser Momentum, Sony 1000X M3 over ear headphones and 1More earbuds, all of which gave a good rendition, clarity at the high end and good bass thump too, showing that the music is coming through in fine fettle.
It’s easy to settle down and just listen. The speakers are a bit desperate though. I’m going to introduce a concept here; Oakcastle and Majority are not pretending to be high end hi fi suppliers, but nor do I find their products cheap. What they represent is value and that is an underrated virtue these days. It’s also rare with products. And yes, I bought a couple of things from them, with my own money.
