Well being a radio addict I was interested in this as I wanted something portable and lightweight to take out with me, at home I use both digital radios and smart speakers. It is certainly both of these, small enough to fit into your pocket and light enough to hardly know that it is in there. It’s actually been quite fun using the analogue rotary dial to tune it into the stations, took me back to childhood memories! The green light helps you find the best tuning spot and there is an aerial you can extend to boost the fm signal. Also a good kickback stand, although it stands well on its flat base on a flat surface, and a handy wrist strap which makes easy carrying if your hands are full – mug of tea and tools up to the garden! I thought both the sound and volume were great for my use, especially considering the size and mono speaker, and I was impressed with the sound when using my earphones connected through the jack port. The battery life is really good too, it has lasted well on a day out with time on the beach, and fine for a couple of hours spent in the garden over a few days, and then it recharges quickly. I am looking forward to using it on a camping trip later in the summer. Overall does what it’s meant to well and fun to use something with a retro feel for a change.
