Where did you buy your product? Amazon

I needed a compact set of speakers and subwoofer for my motorhome and the DX20 fits the bill perfectly. I have purchased Majority products before, and they are well manufactured for the price point. I love the simple packaging and there is a QR code on the outside of the box to download the user manual which is great as this goes towards planting a tree and saving paper.

I box contents consists of 2 x remote speakers that are wired and terminated by a 3.5mm jack. These plug into the main subwoofer unit which has a hard-wired volume/mode control knob attached.

The subwoofer contains the 20-watt power amp and this is powered by a hard-wired USB cable terminated with an “A” type connector. I was somewhat surprised that it wasn’t supplied with an appropriate mains “wall wart”, but it worked perfectly well from one of my spare ones I had lying about and it also had no problem in my motorhome using a USB socket. Just make sure it can supply the correct current to run it. There is a downward-facing speaker and a nicely shaped bass port at the front of the unit.

Also, the rear of the subwoofer has a separate Treble, Bass, and Volume control to supplement the EQ from the music source. Underneath these controls are 4 function switches that can change the input mode and song transport if using the onboard Micro SD card and USB input readers. You can insert Micro SD cards and USB devices that have music or podcasts stored on them. This is such a great function! Finishing off, the 2 x 3.5mm input sockets for the satellite speakers are in this section too. One other included feature which is not always thought about is an extra 3.5mm stereo connection wire that can be used with any headphone or speaker output from a device that doesn’t connect via Bluetooth. This works well and is accessed via the mode control on the desktop control knob.

One of the best features for me is the desktop control which is a large rotary knob for instant volume control. This also acts as the on/off switch and mode change by pressing down on the knob. Also built-in is a 3.5mm headphone socket which is a great feature if you need privacy and a nice blue LED to show that power is on.

Nothing today is complete without the ability to connect to Bluetooth and the DX20 is no exception. It just works! I tested it with my laptop, iPad, and phone with no issues.

So, what does it sound like? I love the sound of this product. It has a nice tight bass response with plenty of adjustments for the varying types of music that can be played through it. It is easy to overdrive if you are not careful, but my favorite feature yet to be mentioned is the volume limiter on the desktop control. If you set the volume highest limit on the back of the sub-woofer correctly, this will prevent the volume from going above this level and gives a reassuring “beep” to tell you it has reached this level. See the video in this review for this feature.

In closing, this is a great value-for-money product from Majority.

Where did you buy your product? AO.com

I have bought several Majority products and have been impressed by both the sound and the build quality, so I had no worries when buying this most recent product the Majority DX20. This is proving to be true and the Majority DX20 is taking its rightful place amongst my other items in my office/ man cave. I have previously purchased by soundbars and hi fi equipment and this fits in perfectly amongst these items.

What I was looking for was additional speakers that had at least 20 Watts and also Bluetooth connectivity. This was one of the reasons why I chose this item. The sound is loud and plays both music and vocal sounds clearly. The Bluetooth connection was easy and quick to set up. You can switch easily between AUX and Bluetooth by simply clicking down on desktop control switch. A pinging sound will inform you that you have connected to a paired device, and when you switch back it will say AUX mode. A long press will turn the system off.
What also was a nice tough, and one which works well is the desktop control switch (which also has the feature of a headphone socket for when you need some privacy) It’s easy to use and has a really long cable so you dont have to have move to control the volume or turn the system off.

The addition of a Sub-woofer adds to the sound quality.

The product is also USB powered. This was another reason I selected the Majority DX20 as free plug sockets are a rarity in my office, so being able to plug it into one of my many USB sockets meant it doesn’t take up a valuable plug socket in my man cave.

So far, the Majority DX20 has met all my expectations that I have come to expect from a majority product. They will continue to be my go-to for both value for money and reliability.
