Just set up my player after a rival brand cd drive failed after six months . Set up wizard was a doddle and controls seem more intuitive than the booklet suggests . One reservation is that when selecting an input on the internet radio menu , it sometimes selects the input underneath the one that was actually pressed ! But , oh , what a joy it is to have internet radio ! My tastes are mainly jazz based and to have such a vast choice of stations for every genre , and sub genre , is almost overwhelming . Nowhere else can I find exposure to such an astonishing quantity and variety of music . Now I have the world of music to listen to in my kitchen ! Not being very tech minded ,the ability to access this without having to link up several computer components is fantastic .
Sound is very good , especially for the price . The solid build makes sure that the sound has depth to it . The balance is adjustable beyond the preset eq modes . Volume goes way louder than I will need . Most things are adjustable in the menu , including the brightness of the display . I was even delighted to find that the standby clock display is analogue rather than a digital readout .
